BEIT TFILA ISRAELI NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT

Beit Tfila Israeli’s activities are made possible by gifts from donors in Israel and abroad, who see the importance of what we are doing. For the past two years we have also been supported by member dues.

Our expenses include hall rental, office rental, staff people, musicians, equipment and supplies, prayer books, and costs associated with producing events. Costs have become considerably higher than what can be defrayed by member fees. In the past two years, member fees have comprised only a small percentage of our annual budget.

It is not necessary to point out that while the state and local governmental bodies support Orthodox synagogues and communities, we in the Beit Tfila Israeli community do not receive this kind of support. Moreover, our decision to exist as an independent community prevents us from receiving support from the central body of the liberal movements of the United States and internationally.

To maintain our independent identity, we mainly find support from private individuals and halutzim philanthropic organizations. Our supporters understand the immediate need for undertakings like ours, which offer an authentic Israeli Judaism which is egalitarian, liberal, and dynamic.
